¿ Qué echo más de menos de España al vivir en el extranjero?

El otro día por casualidad un pequeño debate comenzó en facebook sobre los alimentos que echamos de menos, mis amigos españoles repartidos por el mundo y una andaluza emigrante , oseáse : yo. La gente me pregunta muchas veces que echo de menos de mi amada Andalucía pues bien , en este orden: Mi familia, la comida (incluido salir de tapeo), el sol, el excelente sistema sanitario español, la red de trenes (renfe), la semana Santa, la Feria de Córdoba y escuchar flamenquito en los bares (ahora hasta me gusta escuchar a los choris que tienen a camarón a todo volumén en el coche!!). Que pena que me haya tenido que ir fuera para apreciar cosas como: Una simple bolsa de gusanitos, de pipas o de quicos churruca, un chupón de coyac (siempre me traigo!),un buen tazón de colacao (esto parece como el anuncio ..jaja),jamoncito, un buen queso manchego, un buen cocido,aceitunitas, croquetas,el atún en aceite de oliva, los picos y como no, muchos platos cordobeses como el flamenquín o buen salmorejito! Que pena que en Dublín no haya ningún restaurante español bueno, de verdad , ni ninguna tienda especializada . También me encantaría tener un sitio al que pudiera ir a ver el sol, echarme unas sevillanas y tomarme un varguitas con hielo por 1,50 aunque sólo fuera por unas horas. Sólo espero que algún día la situación en España mejore para poder regresar y tener mi propia finquita en Andalucía. De momento me tengo que conformar con hablar con mi familia de vez en cuando por skype, con viajes a lo loco para España y ver fotografias de como van creciendo mis sobrinos. Eso sí, le estoy muy agradecida a Irlanda que nos ha dado mucho y sus gentes nos han acogido muy bien desde el principio y nunca nos hemos sentido discriminados. Incluso diría que el baile irlandés es parecido al flamenco pero sin mover las manos! Sin llegar a ninguna conclusión específica y limitándome a escribir lo que me va viniendo a la cabeza en una tarde de Sábado, me despido hasta el próximo post. Familia y amigos, os echamos de menos!

Movie Review: A single man (2010)

I´m not surprised the male protagonist of " a single man", Colin Firth has been awarded with a British Bafta, he made me feel from the beginning to end: i felt his pain, his love for his partner and his dead dog (I thought of my beloved cat), his love to youth, to the precious and short moments in life. It´s not a conventional movie at all, I have to agree with the critics in that I Saw some touches from Almodovar´s style on the movie, you can really see that Tom Ford was inspired by him among others. The movie based on the novel with the same name by Christopher Isherwood set in the 60ies with their gorgeous hair styles,dresses,stylish men suits, nice cars and houses, i loved every bit of it. I was told before watching the movie that it was "weird", of course this made me going to see it even more. I have to say that I dont agree, i didnt find it weird, it´s just not conventional, it goes back and forward in time, it is full of symbology with colours and the feelings transmitted by our looks and even touching a photograph of somebody you love that brings you flashbacks of the past. If after watching the movie you dont find it beautiful , please dont tell me, it is one of the best movies I have seen lately (I´m not going to mention the hot Spanish model in one of the scenes..wow! this also helped lol). MY husband also found the movie beautiful but he didnt enjoy it as much as I did, he felt more with the movie precious, also a very touching movie but i did like more this one. I´m going to end with one of the sentences I remember " you have to live the present and value the short moments that make you feel" "if you dont like the present, the future may not be better because the future is death"

He decidido que voy a recordar con vosotros canciones que han sido importantes en mi vida , como escribí hace un par de artículos, en youtube se pueden encontrar canciones con letras y se puede hacer uno su karaoke personal, esta canción es parte del mio " es por ti", recordáis al grupo Complices? uno de mis favoritos.., por cierto que siempre me llamaron la atención las cejas del cantante a parte de su bella voz,claro!

Viva los Carnavales de Cádiz! mi chirigota favorita de este 2010

Ayer disfruté al máximo cuando tuve le placer de ver el resumen de los carnavales de cádiz en canal sur y me entretuve con mi chirigota favorita de este año: Los Jartibles (van de mosquitos!), no tiene desperdicio,ni los disfraces que llevan ni sus letras tan divertidas! te harán reir, eso si entiendes el acento de Cádiz, claro! Espero poder estar con los chirigoteros el año próximo, qué arte que hay en mi tierra! Tampoco estuvo nada mal la chirigota de los famosos entre ellos con uno de los componentes de los Morancos y Jose Manuel Soto ,se llaman "los preparaos", os he puesto un trocito de su actuación en su segundo video.

Some of you may already know the phenomenon of free karaoke homemade videos on you tube, this post is dedicated to the ones who are still thiking of buying a karaoke machine or even going to a bar! you can just look for any song you like adding "lyrics" or "karaoke" after the title, the most famous ones are in there. It´s a great entertainment for the evenings, specially when the weather is crap outside! You can also create your own karaoke playlist, i have my own now with 62 songs and im adding more everyday so when we invited friends over we can all choose any song we like.

By the way, i can´t sing, i´d be suitable for any talent show but i have so much fun trying to sing lol im only sorry for my neighbours!
