Una película irlandesa de Neil Jordan que refleja la inocencia e imaginación de un travesti hijo ilegítimo de un cura en la Irlanda de los años 70 , (en pleno conflicto entre republicanos e ingleses).
Es increible ver la situación de la Irlanda de entonces a través de los ojos de "Kitten". Ser irlandés en aquella época podía ser sinónimo de terrorista e incluso un personaje tan dulce e inofensivo como Kitten es confudido con un militante del IRA. Recomiendo esta película a todo el que quiera ver una historia fuera de lo común con protagonistas de la vida diaria como un travesti, su mejor amigo con síndrome de down, un cura reprimido enamorado de su cocinera y muchos más.

An Irish Neil Jordan´s movie that portraits travesty´s inocence and imagination from Kitten. He is an illegitimate son of a priest in the Ireland from the 70ies where the confrontation between British and Republicans was at its highest peak. Being Irish at that time was synonym for being a terrorist and even a sweet and harmless person like Kitten could be taken for an Ira terrorist. It´s astonishing to see Ireland´s situation at that time thourgh "Kitten"´s eyes. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to enjoy an out of the ordinary´s script with common people as Bobby , (down´s syndrome guy, Kitten´s best friend ),a repressed priest in love with his housekeeper and a travesty wanting to have breakfast on Pluto to get away from it all.
